9 Weeks on the ‘Other’ Side
WOW! We cannot believe nine weeks have passed under our feet since the finish of dreams along with our posse’, here in Vancouver and all you amazing R41P supporters around the globe! Steph and I continue to be blown away by the kudos of, “congrats and how can I help you build the Legacy for Kids”.
It is a serious honor we feel having so many desiring to help keep the dream alive. I felt it important to say hello to YOU, our incredible, wouldn’t-be-writing-this-without-you, readers!
Much has happened since May 8th, which a lot of people (especially here in Vancouver) know from long slow dinners with old friends and new, to copious amounts of coffee (for quick catch up’s) at some of the city’s finest “local, fair trade, organic establishments” (like The Wicked Café on 7th and Hemlock) being steps away from Steph’s place!
It continues to be a, “let’s keep this dream running” energy from many of our most valued team mates, keeping us grounded in foundation and “small steps adding up”, to the just joined R41P legacy folks, with their fresh energy of ideas to keep us thinking and creating outside the box.
I read a quote a few weeks ago which read: “you can never give enough thanks and gratitude, as it stokes the fire of inspiration because you let someone know they’ve made a difference in your life”.
This is how intensely grateful I am, as is Steph, for each person reading this “Matt Hill (who will continue two-finger typing) blog”, filled with humble gratitude, passion for what we’re beginning and excitement for what’s to come!
YOU are the difference and we thank you for being in our lives and on our team.
I’ll finish by listing some of the cool things happening in these early stages of the post Run For One Planet world.
– Starting the book writing process.
– Had our first presentation as BC Hydro Power Smart team members (Thanks Brent and everyone at Maple Farms).
– Starting to give community and corporate presentations of “stories from the R41P Highway.”
– Starting to build our “Legacy Team”- if you’re interested give us a shout.
– Having our first board member meeting August 12th.
– Starting our partnership with the City of Vancouver and their “Greenest City on the Planet” vision.
– We’ve allocated our first “seed money school” which we’ll fill you in on shortly.
Talk to ya’ll every week from today forward!
Matt & Steph
I’m looking forward to seeing the next blogg.
