5 Weeks to Go… nice vertical Matt!
One more amazing, incredible, run/event filled week has passed under our feet and we find ourselves with 5 weeks remaining until we see Vancouver and You, once again!
Hi from Eureka California after 2 school presentations back to back (with huge thanks to Bonnie for setting these up, and Amber for keeping the train rolling with us onboard).
The kids sang us a song about water and how we need to protect it almost had Steph and I loosing our cool. It was a tear jerker and touched our hearts immensely.
Our legs were in need of some down time today, as we had run more distance to cover more miles this week. And we will continue this by running 55 (or more) miles each day from now until we run those last miles over the Lions Gate Bridge, through Stanley Park, to SPRINT up Georgia Street and unlace with YOU at EP!C! Ok, no sprinting as the wheels would DEFINITELY fall completely off! (Check this out my sore legs… it’s true, white men really can’t jump: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vsyq8jYx8ro)
Even the kids are still kickin’ our butts in every fun run we do with them. It’s pretty pathetic having a pint sized eco warrior out sprinting you. That is, until we go for longer than a block, then we’re running like Forrest Gump. And we can just run and run and run so mo’.
