DETAILS: Come drop off your unwanted electronic waste for free and/or join us for an informative and entertaining presentation by an inspirational couple currently running a marathon a day to save the environment!
Monitors, computers, laptops, desk top printers and copiers, TV’s, DVD players and other small electronics will all be accepted for recycling. Maximum of five items per person. 1-800-GOT-JUNK? will be taking the e-waste to Cali Resources to be recycled.
BACKGROUND: Almost a year into their marathon-a-day run across Canada and the U.S. to raise awareness about the environment, “Run For One Planet” arrives in San Diego. Athletes Matt Hill and Stephanie Tait will share their incredible journey to inspire one million people to commit to one new environmentally friendly habit, and raise money for eco-system enhancement initiatives. Hill is a seven-time Ironman competitor and actor who has worked with legends such as Jackie Chan. Tait is an internationally recognized speaker and personal success coach. Together they have run more than 8,000 miles, raised $80,000, and inspired more than 13,000 environmental actions.
